Department of Family Medicine
The Department of Family Medicine at Lehigh Valley Health Network is a local and national leader in clinical innovation. More than 200 active and affiliate department members are using electronic health records, the Internet and personal digital assistants at the point of care, incorporating complementary healing modalities, and creating an Idealized Clinical Office Practice based on a model from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. The Lehigh Valley Family Health Center provides the community with health care and educational programs. In conjunction with others at Lehigh Valley Health Network, the department seeks to weave a continuum of primary care to improve the collective health of the region.
